Katori Shinto Ryû
Kobudô is a Japanese martial art that focuses on weapons handling: sabre, long staff and naginata - a curved blade sword – are the weapons used by the experts of this discipline who seeks to awakes and sharpens the defence reflexes.
Kobudô teaching is taking care of by the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryû weapon school, created in the 15th century in Japan and as an integral part of Japan’s intangible heritage. It is in that school that Master Alain FLOQUET learnt kobudô fighting skills, that he teaches now to the curious and the martial art lovers.
All are welcome to the kobudô demonstrations led by the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryû experts. You can also learn the basis of this martial art through initiation sessions open to everyone!
