Last summer, many of you discovered the new features of the Yuzu Stage! Its 14-meter large screen, as large as others in the most prestigious movie theatres in Paris, unveiled to you the premieres of the anime Vinland Saga or of Tokyo Ghoul in the presence of the cast of the film. Its wider stage allowed more of you to be in the front rows for the conferences and live drawings of the festival guests: Leiji MATSUMOTO, Gô NAGAI, or Yoshiyuki TOMINO. Its higher capacity of 3,500 people invited as many EVANGELION fans as possible to discover the first 10 minutes of the film EVANGELION: 3.0+1.0 for the first time in the world, in the presence of Yoko TAKAHASHI

Sentai series had pride of honor with two panels bringing together the actors from the Bioman show on the 35th Anniversary of the series and another one with the team of France Five, a French show inspired from sentai. The Yuzu Stage also welcomed big names of the video game industry such as Naoki YOSHIDA for Final Fantasy XIV, or Yu SUZUKI about the Shenmue series. Yoshiki himself had come to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Japan Expo, and held a wonderful performance!

The Yuzu Stage extended its program after the festival closing hour and proposed a tribute to Monkey Punch with the screening of the first episode of Lupin the Third, and an OAV and a movie from the famous series, the premiere of Saga of Tanya the Evil –the Movie–, and the animation film Promare.

Let’s take a look back on the Yuzu Stage program for the 20th Anniversary of Japan Expo:

See you at Japan Expo 21st Impact, on July 2-5, 2020 at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center!
