About disabled people

You have a question about the access and special features for disabled people? We have the answer!

Posted on

Q: Is there a dedicated entrance for people with disabilities?

A: Yes, there is a priority line for people with disabilities, pregnant women, families with young children, or anyone for whom it is hard to stand in the lines in hall 7. You may be asked to show a justification or doctor’s certificate.

The priority entrance opens at 9.00 am for people with a ticket. Those who don’t have a ticket can get one from 10.00 am at this entrance. They are led to the cash desks via the priority line.

Q: Is the entrance free for disabled people?

A: Disabled people have to pay the entrance fees.

The entrance to the festival is free for the companions of people with disabilities (one companion per person). You’ll have to show a card or justification showing that you need a companion. Free tickets are to be picked up from the Troubelshooting Desk only, in hall 7, before joining the lines.

Yet, people with disabilities who don’t fall in this category can also come in through the priority line, from 9.00 am if they have a ticket or from 10.00 am if they have to buy a ticket. A ticket office at this entrance will allow them to get one.

Q: Is the festival and its programming accessible to disabled people?

A: Disabled people can access all the festival.

Q: Can disabled people skip the lines at the Signing Desk?

A: Yes, people who can’t keep standing in the lines for long can go to the staff members (wearing red jackets) working at the Signing Desk who will let them skip the lines.

Please note that accompanying people will have to line up all the same if they want a signing ticket too.

Q: Are all the festival stages accessible to people with disabilities? Are there reserved seats?

A: All the stages are indeed accessible to disabled people and have reserved seats or spaces.

To avoid the lines, please ask to a member of the staff (in a red jacket) who will make you skip the line.

Q: How to go from the car park to the Exhibition Center? Are the shuttles equipped for people with disabilities?

A: Each car park at Paris-Nord Exhibition Center has specific parking spots for people with disabilities. At the entrance of the car park, you’ll be given a card with the phone number of the shuttle dedicated to people with disabilities.

When you’ve parked, you can call them and they’ll come pick you up to bring you to the festival, and back at the end of your day.
