Biography

After debuts as a painter, Mayuko decided to launch into music and released her first short-album in 2001, Toy Cross. The cover was realized by Shynola, a group of artists from London who have worked with some of the most famous names like Radiohead, Beck, or Coldplay. It was also the occasion to work with some personalities like Johnnie FINGERS (Boomtown Rats), Daniel WANG (Balihu Records), or DJ Kensei.

Then, Mayuko’s popularity spread through the social medias. Lots of newspapers, French and American alike, started to be interested in the singer whose name means “a child in a cocoon”. After that, Mayuko worked on many projects in partnership with various labels like KFM Record in Scotland or Pony Canyon in Japan. In 2009, she recorded the song Someiyoshino that was used for Hama-chan!’s ending, a TV program.                                  In 2014, she released her first album produced by Vista Bouquet and available on iTunes. Nowadays, she is singing at many festivals in France, Italy, England, or even in the US.

On March 30, Mayuko released a new album named Muguet Feerique. You can discover in this video clip some extracts of her folk songs with Mayuko’s enchanting voice.
