Jun MOCHIZUKI

With publisher Ki-oon, Japan Expo is delighted to welcome the mangaka Jun MOCHIZUKI, author of Pandora Hearts, as our Manga Guest of Honor, for the release of her new series, Les Mémoires de Vanitas!

Biography

This young mangaka was still a student when she started pre-publishing her first series, Crimson-Shell, in 2005. From June 2006, Jun MOCHIZUKI published Pandora Hearts in SQUARE ENIX’s monthly GFantasy: the critical and public acclaim led to the anime adaptation in 2009! Released in France in 2010, Pandora Hearts sold about 700,000 copies in France and brought together a huge community of fans.

Jun MOCHIZUKI has a passion for Victorian England, gothic atmospheres, and fantastic universes… She also loves the City of Lights, which she chose as the set of her new series, Les Mémoires de Vanitas! A fascinating adventure in which she revisits with talent the vampire myth, at the heart of a swarming Paris, at the dawn of the 20th century.

For the release of this new series on July 6 in France, Jun MOCHIZUKI is Japan Expo’s Manga Guest of Honor, in partnership with the publisher Ki-oon. Come meet her on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, for signings on Ki-oon’s booth (more information below and on Ki-oon’s website).
