YOSHIKI at Japan Expo !

“We are X! We are X! “ the public chants, impatient to meet the one considered as the creator of visual key. Co-founder and leader of the legendary band X JAPAN, it is a classical music tour that he started in April 2004: the YOSHIKI Classical World Tour. It is a surprising turning point coming from an artist that doesn’t hesitate to break the musical instruments of his band on stage during crazy lives. To explain the reasons of this astonishing change, it is in the twilight and in video that the public learns a bit more on YOSHIKI.

The childhood of this child prodigy is immersed into classical music so dear to his father. However, at the suicide of the latter, it is in despair that he got bogged down in rock, letting his aggressive side standing out. Through classical music, it is thin-skinned that we discover him, but always as haunted by the music. “Throughout my life rock has always been by my side, but classical music is in my bones”

Silence. The video ends and YOSHIKI arrives on the Live House stage to rapturous applause. He gets settled in front of his piano and it is accompanied by four talented musicians that his fingers glide on the piano keys. Anniversary, Forever Love, the songs link together under the luminous beams and the admiration of his fans. Stroke by the passion, he falls in a moment of distraction to finally remember that it is now time to welcome IWAMOTO (Phoenix Whright). It is a first in his career, YOSHIKI improvises a track on the piano while Tastsuro IWAMOTO caresses the paper with his brush for a musical live-drawing with Samurai YOSHIKI as theme. YOSHIKI affirms willing to sell this artwork for the benefits of charity foundations and admires a last time the beautiful ink work of IWAMOTO: "I can compose music but I can never paint like this".

Surprises follow and it is the turn of Katie FITZGERALD to make her entrance. Together they interpret Hero, the theme song of Saint Seya LEGEND of SANCTUARY.

After several tracks, it is a tribute to his father, but also to hide, a member of X JAPAN, died in 1998 that he makes by playing Without you… emotion is rising and tears flow on the faces of some fans.

So far and so close at the same time, it is in an intimate atmosphere that YOSHIKI has been able to make linger on the Live House. An exclusive and magnificent moment followed by the presence of YOSHIKI on the booth of NoLife. Animated by Suzuka and Josaudio, the photo call attracted many fans and the artist proposes a privileged one-to-one with him to the most impressing person from the public. Shouts, revealed tattoos and X in the air, the public let go to win this exceptional gift.
