Takamatsu, capital of the Seto Inland Sea, located in the prefecture of Kagawa, has long been an economic centre, at the crossroads of all the major roads in the region. Surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, it has a unique culture, different from that of Tokyo and Osaka.
In Takamatsu, there is a particular tradition called Henro, Shikoku’s pilgrimage. This journey which connects 88 temples on the island, celebrated its 1,200-year anniversary in 2014.
