Shichiro KOBAYASHI, a master of anime settings
For its 16th Impact, Japan Expo is hosting a great name of animation, a master of settings who worked on such series as Nobody’s Boy: Remi, Ashita no Joe 2, or recently Berserk: come meet Shichiro KOBAYASHI during panel, masterclasses and signings!
During his career as an illustrator and art director, Shichiro KOBAYASHI has created all types of settings for many cult anime. First employed by Tôei Animation (Toei Dôga at the time), he then started his own studio, specialized in hand drawn settings, to let his creativity free.
Shichiro KOBAYASHI has worked in all styles, all types of anime, contributing to the atmosphere of every scene. To mention only a few, he’s contributed to Nobody’s Boy: Remi, Berserk, Ashita no Joe 2 or Kimagure Orange Road, very different kinds of series.
His talent goes even further: today Shichiro KOBAYASHI dedicates himself to painting abstract works. He is also a teacher and shares his skills and knowledge during classes.
Japan Expo is welcoming this great artist for a panel on Friday, which he will end with a live drawing session to let you see the master at work. Come meet him for signings and masterclass too! And to know more about him and admire his work, don’t miss the exhibit: Shichiro KOBAYASHI, an overview.
