Come dance awa odori!

The Takarabune troupe makes you discover the awa odori dance, also called “loonies dance”, on stage this summer! Let yourself be carried away by the hellish pace of this 400 years-old traditional art!

Posted on

The Takarabune troupe was created in 1995 in the Tokushima area. Its members have practiced the awa odori dance for more than 10 years and have a perfect mastery of its techniques. This 400 years-old dance is practiced during the festival of the same name celebrated from August 12 to 15 in Japan. Although the troupe preserves the soul of this ancestral art, it also constantly tries to incorporate new genres into its performances. During an impressive show on stage, Takarabune makes you discover this energetic dance with a lively music no one can resist!
