Calligraphy in all its glory !

Houkou NAKASHIMA is a sculptor and modeller, who expresses himself through different artistic genres, such as calligraphy. Profoundly touched by the earthquake that struck Japan in March of 2011, he created, after the disaster, an installation made of debris from the affected area, on the theme of “signs of life”.

Inspired by this project, he invites you to discover an installation playing with Japanese characters meaning "signs of life". A singular performance, where the artist covers the stage with different types of traditional Japanese papers, and uses them to dress a model, expressing hope and the creation of life.
