Japan Expo closed its gates a few days ago but we have not forgotten at all the wonderful moments we experienced with the guests! The festival allowed meetings full of emotions between the artists and their fans, and great moments of shared passion between the guests and the attendees.
Among the many prestigious guests attending Japan Expo this year, the Guests of Honor have been perfect representatives of 4 aspects among the most striking of Japanese pop culture: manga, animation, video game and music.
Our Manga Guest of Honor Ken AKAMATSU’s presence immersed once again all Love Hina fans into the adventures of this world success and made them discover his new title UQ HOLDER!.
To celebrate the 20’s anniversary of the saga Evangelion, Yoshiyuki SADAMOTO, chara-designer of Neon Genesis Evangelion who’s also worked on the manga and the movies, was our Anime Guest of Honor.
The dream meeting of all video game fans was taking place at Japan Expo with Shigeru MIYAMOTO, the creator of Mario, The Legend of Zelda and many more. The icing on the cake: our Video Game Guest of Honor invited two surprise guests on stage… more about them on this page!
To end up with some music, J-rock had pride of honor with VAMPS and its members HYDE (L’Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust). The Music Guests of Honor set the Karasu stage on fire with an explosive show.
